The Uzbekistan national football team will take part in the Olympic Games in Paris for the first time

The teams of Uzbekistan and Indonesia took part in the semi-final match of the Asian Youth Football Cup. The winner received not only the right to perform in the finals and take direct part in the fight for the trophy, but also a ticket to the Olympic Games in Paris!

The fight was stubborn, but young football players from Uzbekistan prevailed with a score of 2:0. The first goal was scored by Muhammadkadyr Khamraliev in the 69th minute of the match. Although the Indonesians had previously rolled the ball into the team from Uzbekistan, it was canceled due to offside. And even earlier, in the 27th minute of the match, Uzbekistan was threatened with a penalty, but the referee decided that Abdukodir Khusanov adhered to the rules and no violation was recorded. 

In the 84th minute, the Indonesian team, which was the nominal home team, was left with ten men and scored an own goal. 

In the final game in Qatar, football players of the Uzbekistan youth team received “silver”. 

Another historical event for Uzbek football is ahead. The country's national team will take part in the Summer Olympic Games for the first time.

 The football tournament at the Paris Olympics starts at the end of July – even before the official opening of the Games. Date of its holding – from July 24 to August 10.
